2025 NBA All-Star Schedule: Where to Watch, TV Channel, and Live Stream for Action-Packed Weekend in San Francisco

This marks the first time since 2000 that the Bay Area will host the prestigious event, and fans can expect major changes to the traditional format.

New Format for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game

This year, the NBA has introduced a completely revamped format for the All-Star Game. Instead of the traditional East vs. West matchup, Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, and Kenny Smith have drafted three teams of eight players each. Additionally, the winner of the Rising Stars Challenge will join the tournament, making it a four-team mini single-elimination competition.

  • Semifinals:
    • Kenny’s Young Stars vs. Chuck’s Global Stars
    • Shaq’s OGs vs. Candace’s Rising Stars
  • Championship Game: The winners of the semifinals will battle for the 2025 NBA All-Star Championship title.

Additionally, Steph Curry and Sabrina Ionescu will not be participating in a rematch of their one-on-one 3-point shootout from last year, as the league stated they “weren’t able to land on a plan we thought would raise the bar off of last year’s special moment.”
